Fly into Yellowknife, a well-know city for Aurora viewing in Canada. Upon arrival, transfer to hotel and (from December) try the winter clothing and shoes. Tonight, you will enjoy hot coffee, tea and snacks while viewing Aurora.

The Northern Lights are the result of collisions between gaseous particles in he Earth's atmosphere with charged particles released from the sun's atmosphere. "Aurora borealis", the lights of the northern hemisphere, means "dawn of the north". In Roman myths, Aurora was the goddess of the dawn. Many cultural groups have legends about the lights. Many beliefs around the northern lights see the phenomena as a good omen.

Tonight, you will enjoy hot coffee, tea and snacks while viewing Aurora.

Free at your leisure during the daytime. The famous restaurant --Bullocks' Bistro, their Grill local fish is very delicious. You can join optional tours or explore the city by yourself. Tonight around 22:00PM, start your Aurora viewing tour. Return to hotel around 02:00AM.。

【Ice Fishing Demonstration+ Lunch 】(around 2 hrs, only pick-up)

Drive to an Indigenous home by Great Slave Lake, where local Indigenous fishermen have already prepared net holes in the fishway. Guests can join the local fishermen to pull nets and experience the joy of polar fishing. They are also welcome to enjoy snowboarding before heading to the city restaurant (Noodle House) to enjoy a fish meal. After the meal, guests can return to their accommodations on their own (all hotels in the city center are a 3-5 minute walk away).

  

【Self drive Dog Sled Ride】 (around 40 mins)

A sled dog team of 12-16 Alaskan Malamutes and Huskies, accompanied by a guide, for approximately 40 minutes.

Lake Louise+Snowshoeing: This beautiful lake is named after Princess Louise Caroline Alberta. Famous photo-taking location. In summer, you can go boating on the lake or walk on the lakeside and enjoy a leisurely lunch. In winter, you can walk on the lake with snowshoes (provided) and experience the charming snow scenery (Stop for about 2 hours)

Yoho National Park: Native people call "it is wonderful".

Spiral Tunnel: The construction and extra track effectively doubled the length of the climb and reduced the gradient to 2.2%. (Pass through)

Emerald Lake: It's the largest lake of the Yoho's. The color of the water is cause by powdered limestone. (approx. 30 mins)

  

Natural Bridge: Sculpted by the erosive forces of rushing water over what had once been a waterfall, the Natural Bridge is a powerful reminder of how much influence water has in shaping the landscape. (stop for about 15 minutes)

Pick-up Details / Transfers

【Airport pick-up】
Please share your flight details ahead of time, and we'll arrange a pick-up at Yellowknife Airport when you arrive.
We provide 24-hour free airport pickup service at Yellowknife Airport (YZF) at the luggage carousel (near the polar bear statue). Please inform us of your flight information in advance, and our local guide will schedule someone to meet you at Yellowknife Airport based on your arrival time. However, if you arrive late (around 10 PM), you may miss the first night’s Northern Lights viewing, which will be considered a forfeiture of that experience.
At Yellowknife Airport, please be patient and wait for your pickup guide, as the airport is small.
D4: Transfer Flight from Yellowknife to Calgary
Free pickup location at Calgary Airport (YYC) (advance reservation required):
Pickup Point: All guests will meet at the Information Centre located at Exit 7 for a group transfer (shared ride with other guests).
Pickup Times: 09:00 AM - 09:00 PM (Every two hours: 09:00/11:00/13:00/15:00/17:00/19:00/21:00. Please specify your preferred pickup time when providing your flight information.)
* In case of flight delays or cancellations, please contact us as soon as possible to arrange the next available transfer. If you miss the last scheduled pickup, you will need to make your own way to the hotel.
* If you do not require a pickup service, please inform us one week prior to departure. If flight information is not provided one week before departure, it will be assumed that a pickup is not needed, and guests will have to arrange their own transport to the hotel (a voucher will be provided).

Cancellations made 17 days or more before departure will incur a deduction of 15% of the tour fee per person from the refund amount.
- Cancellations made within 16 days of departure or withdrawal during the journey will automatically forfeit all rights, and any paid fees will not be refunded.

Special Notes

    • Please be ready and show up at meeting location 5-10 minutes prior to the meeting time as the tour will start on time. If you miss the bus, please go to next pick up location to meet the group. Should there be any concerns, please contact us.
    • Aside from admission fees, optional tour fees and service fees mentioned above, other fees and taxes should be paid in CAD currency by. If you choose to pay in USD currency, you should pay the price difference caused by the currency exchange rate.
    • Maximum of one luggage and one carry-on per person.

Please check at the hotel desk to see if you may store your luggage at the hotel if you wish to explore the city on your own before check-in.
  • The time we mentioned in the itinerary is for reference only. Please refer to your guide on tour for the actual arrangement. The visiting order and duration might be changed according to actual and practical situation for better service.
  • This tour/activity is overseen by a select local operator in the region. Upon booking your tour or activity and after receiving confirmation, you will be issued an e-ticket detailing the local operator's name and contact information.     1.Immediately after submitting your reservation you will receive a Receipt of Reservation via email.
    2. Within one to two business days of submitting your reservation you will receive a status update email from us. If you need to book an airline ticket, we recommend that you do so after you receive a confirmation of your tour reservation from us.
    3. An E-Ticket will be sent to you via email as soon as details of your reservation are confirmed or your supporting information is received by us. We will provide you with all detailed information about your tour on the E-Ticket. Contact information for local tour provider will be included on E-Ticket for your convenience or re-confirmation purpose if re-confirmation is required.
    4. Simply print your E-Ticket and present it with your valid photo ID on the day of your activity to your tour guide. Please remember E-Ticket is your proof of purchase.
